Blast Freezing

State of the art, high velocity air blast freezers have the capacity to freeze 180 tonnes of product every day. All systems are independently verified and all cycles are checked to ensure consistent freezing, every time.

Blast freezing allows customers to instantly preserve product for long periods of time locking in freshness and nutrients and arresting bacterial growth. Product can then be sold on, further processed or even exported at the customer’s convenience.


Turners also offer controlled up-tempering to satisfy customer demand. Often customers chose to build frozen stock over time, then temper and date code more quickly to meet seasonal volume. The process is fully controlled by temperature monitoring systems and all new products are validated to ensure process integrity.
