From operational sites in Norwich, Castleford and Donington our trained operators fulfil daily requests to collect and deliver consignments throughout the UK.
In this sector strategic planning is a key element to ensuring the vehicles are operated efficiently whilst securing the delivery performance that is required by our customers. The products that are transported can range from materials for the building trade to engineering parts, bottled water to greeting cards, making this area of our business challenging and interesting.
We operate dedicated contracts for a number of customers where you may find Turner vehicles in the customers own livery or operating on a daily adhoc spot hire basis loading and backloading throughout the UK.
Turners have a large fleet of curtainside trailers, all being well maintained with clear loading space. Included in the fleet are 4.2m high trailers for maximum payloads and 4.5m high trailers for light weight high volume products.
Where convenient, to increase efficiency, Turners operate with stand trailers and provide shunting services if appropriate. Night trunks are constantly operated to provide an overnight delivery service to increase vehicle utilisation.
