Job Description: As a Senior Transport Planner, you'll play a vital role in the day-to-day running of our transport operation, ensuring our fleet operates safely, efficiently and delivers the high standards of service our customers expect.
This position is a full-time permeant role, working Monday – Friday and can accommodate some flexibility for operational needs.
We can offer a competitive salary based on experience.
Start date: - As soon as possible
The key elements of the role will include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring client queries are dealt with in a timely and professional manner to the satisfaction of the client.
- Using our vehicle tracking systems and in-house traffic management system to monitor and record key aspects of collections and deliveries.
- Being responsible for accurate data entry
- Transport Planning
- Communication with drivers and customers to ensure good customer service
Skills and qualities we’re looking for:
- Background in transport or logistics
- Transport Planning experience
- Helpful and positive attitude
- Good teamwork skills
- Ability to use self-initiative
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Positive interaction with clients and internal teams
- Well organised with strong administrative skills
- Willing to learn new skills and accept new challenges.
- Accurate and have a good eye for detail
- Well organised and logistically minded
- Keyboard skills & office experience are essential, although full training will be provided on the relevant IT system
