Job Description: An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Traffic Operator within our busy Traffic Operations Office based at R & R Haulage in Felixstowe. This position would suit someone keen to take the next step up and development their skills in the logistics industry.
This position is a full-time permeant role, working day shifts and can accommodate some flexibility for operational needs.
We can offer a competitive salary based on experience.
Start date: - As soon as possible
The key elements of the role will include but are not limited to:
• Ensuring client queries are dealt with in a timely and professional manner to the satisfaction of the client.
• Using our vehicle tracking systems and in-house traffic management system to monitor and record key aspects of collections and deliveries.
• Being responsible for accurate data entry
• Transport Planning
• Communication with drivers and customers to ensure good customer service
Skills and qualities we’re looking for:
• Background in transport or logistics
• Transport Planning experience
• Helpful and positive attitude
• Good teamwork skills
• Ability to use self-initiative
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Positive interaction with clients and internal teams
• Well organised with strong administrative skills
• Willing to learn new skills and accept new challenges.
• Accurate and have a good eye for detail
• Well organised and logistically minded
• Keyboard skills & office experience are essential, although full training will be provided on the relevant IT system
