Turners (Soham) Ltd are recruiting at the Bicker depot, due to continued growth we are looking for a proven Packhouse Team Leader with the ambition and drive to succeed and promote excellence.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring a small team meet production targets and will work closely with management on a daily basis.

The main focus of the role will be :-

• Ensuring that the production lines in the designated area are adequately staffed, while always focusing on both the quality of the product and the cost to produce.
• Monitoring the product quality on your designated production lines.
• To monitor the reject levels on your designated production lines
• Assisting management to meet and maintain the requirements of the BRC standard.
• Checking all production paperwork to ensure that it is completed fully and is accurate.
• Use all available information, i.e. line performance information, downtime information etc. to help motivate and improve the team performance.
• To ensure all staff are fully trained in all the allocated production area and work effectively, efficiently and follow all Health & Safety rules as set out by the Company
• To esure that all colleagues are carrying out their designated roles and tasks safely, competently, and efficiently
• Provide cover for other areas/lines in the absence of other team leaders

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:-

• Previous experience of working in a food production environment at a Team Leader level or be ready to take on a new challenge.
• Effective communication skills
• An eye for detail
• Ability to work well within a team whilst having the capability to think independently
• Ability to work in a fast moving ever changing environment.

Shift pattern - 4 on 4 off and will include weekend working.
